Are you feeling overwhelmed with anxiety, life changes, or transitions? We all feel blocked at times from living a healthy, fulfilling life for reasons that originate both within and outside of ourselves. Having the self-awareness and courage to take the first step of reaching out for help is challenging. I am here to offer a collaborative and non-judgmental space for you to start your journey of wellness and self-discovery.

My approach to therapy is differentiated based on individual needs and personal goals; I often find that it evolves as the therapy process unfolds. My perspective is both person-centered and solution-focused, working to give you a greater sense of agency in your present and future challenges. We will together examine relationship and behavioral patterns to gain insight and inform your active role in the changes you would like to see in your life. Therapy can provide the support you need in this process and a reminder that you do not have to do this alone.

I incorporate mindfulness-based treatment that, when appropriate and recommended, can lead to evidence-based hypnotherapy for healing, enlightenment, and self-regulation. My primary area of focus is anxiety, specific to panic and the physical symptoms that can cause you to feel detached and not in control of your physical or emotional state. I also have a focus in LGBTQ+-related issues with a strong interest in working with shame and vulnerability within this community. I invite you to show up and let yourself be seen and heard in a safe space.

I offer individual therapy for adults and adolescents as well as relationship therapy. In my 10 years as a provider in the mental health field, I have gained experience in the university setting, residential treatment, crisis intervention, and private practice. I have prioritized cultural competency through my experience in working with clients of diverse backgrounds. I earned my master's degree from Kent State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. If you feel that my professional background is a good fit for you and the concerns you would like to bring to therapy, I encourage you to reach out. I look forward to working with you!

Everyone struggles from time to time and I believe no one should go through their struggles alone. Whether you are experiencing a recent life change or a chronic issue, everyone has the ability to adapt and grow. Therapy does not have to be complicated and I am here to help you achieve your goals by “starting where you are, using what you have, doing what you can” – Arthur Ashe.

With specialized training from Postpartum Support International (PSI), I help pregnant people and parents overcome symptoms of anxiety and depression so they can enjoy parenthood. Pregnancy and parenthood can be one of the most challenging transitions in someone’s life and counseling can be the place where you attend to your own needs.

Those going through conception, pregnancy, pregnancy loss, or parenthood are told how they should feel all too often. Just because many pregnant people and parents experience anxiety and depression does not mean you have to tolerate your symptoms as they are currently.

My experience as a clinician has included individual therapy with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and low self-esteem. I have received a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Youngstown State University.

I assist clients in overcoming their concerns by utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Tailoring these theories to the unique needs of each individual is a high priority in my practice as a clinician.

Life is too short to feel held back or controlled by your emotions and I want to empower you to invest in yourself today! Imagine what life could be like if you were able to achieve change and feel in control of your own life.

I am looking forward to working with you and helping you to build a better life for tomorrow!

Sometimes, life can leave us feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck, and we’re often unsure of how to manage it, or even harder, make a change. Adjusting to the unexpected, dealing with transitions, and trying to show up for ourselves while juggling relationships, work, family and responsibilities are all things that can lead to this. While coming to this realization is difficult, taking the next step by reaching out for help can feel like the most overwhelming task. I am here to offer you a non-judgmental, supportive, and compassionate space to build fulfillment in your life and help you achieve the growth you’ve been looking for.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in my belief that a genuine and meaningful connection is the necessary foundation for healing and growth. Therapy should be collaborative, and finding a good fit between client and therapist is essential. I incorporate a strengths-based approach into my work while relying on my extensive training in the evidenced-based practices of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Schema Therapy to guide me in the therapeutic process. I also rely on solution-focused techniques, mindfulness interventions, and a variety of other research-based practices to help clients achieve their goals and effectively cope with life’s stressors.

Based on my education, training, and clinical experience, my primary areas of focus in my work are treating depression/mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and helping build motivation for change. I strive to help clients identify areas of their lives that they want to improve upon, including cutting back on problematic habits, and assist in creating the structure for change. In my 10+ years as a mental health provider, I have gained experience in the university setting, crisis intervention, community mental health, and intensive outpatient treatment. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University, and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University.

Prioritizing our mental health and well-being can feel burdensome and isolating, but you don’t have to go on this journey alone. I invite you to put yourself first, develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and learn healthier coping strategies in order to live a more meaningful life. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!

Are you feeling more overwhelmed, on edge, or more irritable than usual? Are you feeling overwhelmed by household chores and responsibilities? Are you struggling to adjust to a transition, or feeling unfulfilled or unappreciated and looking to make a change? I am here to offer a safe, non-judgmental space and to provide support. Taking the leap to start therapy for the first time, or finding a new provider, can be such a difficult and anxiety inducing process and I strive to make it as comfortable and stress free as possible.

I practice from an integrated approach of counseling while focusing on an individual’s strengths. I incorporate expressive therapies and believe in the importance of collaboration in the counseling process in order to make progress towards your goals. I have received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through the Beck Institute and incorporate CBT techniques along with other evidence based practices, such as mindfulness and motivational interviewing. Additionally, I have training in trauma-informed care, attachment styles, gaslighting and narcissistic abuse, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I often receive feedback that my therapy style differs from others based on my ability to be direct and collaborative.

I have a passion for supporting college students, individuals struggling with life transitions, career changes, relationship issues (including rebuilding from narcissistic abuse and gaslighting), and navigating the difficulties of parenthood. As a parent myself, I know the anxieties and difficulties that come with parenthood, which is why I know the importance of finding a non-judgmental, supportive environment to receive support during this stage of life. I strive to make the process of starting counseling stress free. I'm here every step of the way (even down to providing detailed directions to our office) that way you can have an anxiety free first visit!

Each and every one of us has a unique story that shapes who we are as individuals. This story can be a mixture of positive and negative experiences, joyful and painful, the good and the bad, all of which are our own. How we experience this story, how we share it with others, and how it impacts us are all pieces to an intricate puzzle of who we are and how we live our lives. My primary goal as a therapist is to create a non-judgmental environment filled with acceptance and compassion in the hopes that, by doing so, clients will feel comfortable sharing their stories and experiences, learn to embrace their authentic selves, and grow into the person they wish to be.

I have worked in the mental health field since 2013 and have over 10 years of experience in working with various populations, including adolescents, young adults, and adults. My primary areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, relationships, navigating fatherhood, and stress management. I rely on solution-focused techniques, mindfulness interventions, and a variety of evidenced-based practices from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Schema Therapy to help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and learn healthier coping strategies that they feel comfortable and confident incorporating into their lives.

I have earned bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology, and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, all from Kent State University. My education, training, and clinical experience have allowed me to build a solid clinical foundation that not only informs my therapeutic approach, but also helps me to easily build therapeutic rapport and meet you where you are in your mental health journey. I am here to offer you a safe space as you seek support and guidance, and help you prioritize your mental health and overall wellbeing. I look forward to working with you!
